We are seeking a Senior QA Automation & Workflow Validation Engineer who will play a critical role in ensuring our products are stable, scalable, and clinically reliable.

This role goes beyond traditional QA. We are looking for someone who understands software testing, healthcare workflows, and the importance of delivering a high-quality product in a fast-paced startup environment.

Position Overview

The Senior QA Automation & Workflow Validation Engineer will work closely with Product, Development, Implementation, and Customer Support teams to validate end-to-end workflows, identify defects early, and help deliver high-quality releases.

This role will act as a bridge between engineering teams and real-world operational workflows in imaging centers and radiology practices.

The ideal candidate we are looking for should have strong experience in both manual and automated testing, as well as healthcare SaaS or radiology workflow expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans.
  • Perform:

o Functional testing

o Regression testing

o Smoke testing

o Exploratory testing

o End-to-end workflow validation

o Usability testing

  • Validate workflows across the Radin ecosystem, including:

o Patient scheduling and registration

o Insurance eligibility verification

o Prior authorization workflows

o Technologist and modality workflows

o Radiologist reporting and dictation workflows

o Patient estimates and payment processing workflows

o Referring physician and patient portal workflows

  • Test integrations involving:

o HL7

o DICOM

o APIs / Webhooks

o EMR / EHR integrations

o Clearinghouse and payer integrations

  • Build and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools such as:

o Selenium

o Cypress

o Playwright

o Postman

o Swagger

  • Validate REST APIs and WebSocket-based communication flows.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as:

o GitHub Actions

o Jenkins

o Azure DevOps o or similar

  • Validate cloud-based deployments in AWS environments.
  • Participate in release readiness and PreLive validation before production deployments.
  • Reproduce, document, and track issues using Jira, Confluence, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar tools.
  • Review logs and system behavior to assist with root cause analysis.
  • Validate AI-assisted workflows, automation logic, and output consistency.
  • Ensure workflows meet HIPAA, privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams in the U.S. and India.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional QA experience in SaaS, healthcare technology, or enterprise software.
  • Strong experience with both manual and automated testing.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as:

o Selenium

o Cypress

o Playwright or equivalent

  • Experience with:

o API testing

o CI/CD environments

o defect management tools

o cloud-hosted applications

  • Strong understanding of:

o REST APIs

o WebSockets

o SDLC

o QA methodologies

o Release cycles

  • Ability to clearly document issues and communicate effectively with developers and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in radiology, imaging center operations, or healthcare workflow systems.
  • Familiarity with:

o RIS / PACS platforms

o DICOM workflows

o HL7 interfaces

  • Experience testing AI/ML-driven workflows or automation outputs.
  • Experience with AWS services such as:

o Lambda

o Amplify

o S3

o CloudWatch

  • Familiarity with performance and security testing tools such as:

o JMeter

o OWASP ZAP

  • Experience in startup or high-growth SaaS environments.
  • Experience with HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance standards.

Special / Bonus Qualifications

Candidates with the following experience will stand out:

  • Experience troubleshooting issues in live production healthcare environments.
  • Experience working directly with implementation teams and customer support to reproduce and resolve client-reported issues.
  • Experience building QA processes from the ground up.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Experience working across multiple time zones and global teams.
  • Strong understanding of real-world radiology workflows and imaging center operations.
