You bring a comprehensive understanding of the utility sector, especially its complex regulatory and buying environments. Having a proven history of landing and expanding customer engagements, you also bring a wealth of relationships to the table and are perfectly primed to hit the ground running. With expertise in identifying potential customers, designing and implementing sales strategies, and delivering superior customer outcomes, you are equipped to make a significant impact. Job responsibilities

Noteworthy AI is seeking a driven and experienced Director of Sales, Utilities to spearhead full-cycle sales operations with our new and existing accounts within our core utilities vertical, during an exhilarating stage of our development. This pivotal role is aimed at driving transformation in companies that are an integral part of our everyday life. Your objective will be to devise and enact engagement strategies with utility and energy companies, in tight collaboration with Noteworthy AI's Go-To-Market team. As we continue to scale our product, your input will have a considerable impact on the future direction of our company. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an adept individual to play a critical role in stimulating the early stage victories of Noteworthy AI, while addressing a subject of pressing significance.

Responsibilities for this role encompass:

  • Expanding and overseeing our evolving client base within the utility & energy sectors
  • Utilizing domain knowledge to devise and execute sales strategies in several areas: new business generation, RFP prospecting, relationship cultivation, pricing, negotiations, contract closing and execution
  • Orchestrating and negotiating new business relationships, which includes defining crucial pricing, commercial and operational terms during intricate contracting procedures
  • Sustaining high-level interactions with customers and key collaborators - steering multifaceted buying committees that comprise grassroots operators and executives up to the C-level
  • Facilitating continued account management to guarantee customer gratification and to identify and close further growth opportunities
  • Collaborating with internal teams in Marketing, Product and operations to assess the competitive environment and to aid in shaping our value proposition and feature set


  • 10+ years of experience in technology sales, in the areas of enterprise software, SaaS or infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experience in outside sales or business development, with a focus on the utilities & energy vertical
  • Proven aptitude for strategic thinking regarding utility priorities and technical challenges, and the ability to offer compelling solutions
  • An established history of navigating executive-level dealings in organizations with multiple stakeholders and matrix structures
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on organization, detail, and high-quality presentation skills (inclusive of C-level engagement)
  • A strong inclination for a complete sales-cycle approach, including lead generation, qualification, and other deliverables necessary for deal closure and expansion, while consistently meeting sales objectives
  • An inherently competitive nature, the ability to get up to speed quickly, adaptability, and a personal drive to consistently surpass production goals
  • Highly organized, with sense of urgency
  • Travel at least 25%
