Senior Accountant

About the position:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for leading Novo Space’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. This role will own day-to-day accounting activities, payroll, and statutory reporting for both Argentina and U.S. entities, ensuring alignment across jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities:

Accounting & Close

  • Own and maintain accurate general ledger records for both Argentina and U.S. entities.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Track, value, and reconcile inventory and stock balances.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and internal controls.

Billing & Receivables

  • Manage client invoicing and payment tracking.
  • Ensure revenue is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

Accounts Payable & Suppliers

  • Process and control supplier invoices and payments.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and payment schedules.

Payroll & Employee Accounting

  • Manage payroll processing for employees across Argentina and the U.S., ensuring accurate recording and compliance with local requirements.
  • Ensure correct accounting treatment of salaries, benefits, bonuses, and related accruals.
  • Maintain payroll-related records and support employee registration processes from an accounting perspective.

Taxes & Statutory Reporting

  • Prepare and file monthly and annual tax returns for Argentina entity in accordance with local requirements, and coordinate with external accountant for U.S. statutory and tax filings, providing accurate and complete accounting information as required.
  • Ensure timely compliance with AFIP and other regulatory obligations.
  • Maintain documentation required for audits, inspections, and statutory reviews.

Cross-Border Coordination

  • Liaise with the company’s U.S.-based accountant to support statutory reporting, consolidation, and intercompany transactions for the U.S. entity, while maintaining ownership of the underlying accounting records.
  • Ensure local accounting records can be mapped and reconciled to U.S. reporting requirements.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare recurring financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Support management with variance analysis and financial insights.
  • Track and report key financial metrics related to costs, margins, and cash position.

Process Improvement

  • Document, improve, and maintain accounting processes and controls.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems as the company scales.


REQUIRED education, work experience, knowledge/skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of Argentine accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Familiarity with U.S. accounting and reporting practices, including maintaining day-to-day accounting records for a U.S. entity.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace tools.

Minimum REQUIRED English level: Upper-intermediate

DESIRABLE education, work experience, knowledge/skills:

  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
