Nyad

Birmingham, AL, USA
Posted on Mar 18, 2026

Nyad is modernizing how the world manages wastewater. Thousands of plants still run on clipboards, guesswork, and manual microscopes. When decisions slip, pollution spikes and costs explode. With expert operators retiring in a "silver tsunami," we're closing the knowledge gap with software: real-time image analysis, process recommendations, and AI models of microbial health. Biology meets machine learning in one of the least digitized (and most essential) sectors on Earth. Nyad is already backed by some of the world's most famous venture capitalists and we are looking for extraordinary talent to join our team.

The TLDR

We need someone who can make things. Not manage a creative team. Not art-direct from a whiteboard. Actually produce — videos, photos, social content, ad campaigns, blog posts, and whatever else it takes to get Nyad in front of the people who need to see it.

You'll be the creative engine behind everything the world sees from Nyad outside the product itself. You'll work directly with the CEO and Growth team to build the brand, tell the story, and drive awareness in an industry that's never seen a company like us.

This is a founding role. You'll own the entire creative output of the company and shape how the wastewater industry discovers and thinks about Nyad.

What You'll Do
  • Produce videos: shoot and edit product demos, operator testimonials, explainer content, social clips, and conference material
  • Manage social media: own Nyad's presence across LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X, and wherever our audience lives — plan content calendars, post consistently, engage with the community
  • Take product and field photos: capture our technology in action at treatment plants, document team moments, build a visual library that makes wastewater look as important as it is
  • Run marketing campaigns: plan and execute campaigns across digital and physical channels — from postcard mailers to paid ads to email sequences
  • Write copy and blog posts: craft compelling messaging for the website, landing pages, email campaigns, case studies, and long-form content that positions Nyad as the authority in wastewater AI
  • Monitor and optimize ads: manage paid campaigns, track performance, test creative, and iterate based on what's actually driving demos and awareness
  • Build and maintain brand guidelines: ensure everything Nyad puts into the world feels cohesive, professional, and unmistakably us
  • Support conference and event presence: create booth materials, presentation decks, swag, and content around industry events
Who You Are
  • You're a maker first. You'd rather pick up the camera than write a creative brief about picking up the camera.
  • You're a strong videographer and editor. You can shoot, light, and cut a compelling video without a production crew.
  • You're a capable photographer. Product shots, environmental portraits, field photography — you know how to make real things look great.
  • You write well. Blog posts, social captions, ad copy, email campaigns — your writing is clear, sharp, and sounds like a human being.
  • You understand social media as a growth channel, not just a content calendar. You think about what makes people stop scrolling.
  • You're data-aware. You check what's working, kill what isn't, and double down on what moves the needle.
  • You move fast and don't need permission. You see an opportunity for a piece of content and you make it happen.
  • You're comfortable being a one-person creative department. You thrive when you own it all.

Extra credit: You've built a brand's social presence from zero. You've worked in B2B or industrial marketing. You've run paid campaigns with real budgets. You've worked at a startup. You know your way around After Effects, Premiere, Lightroom, or Figma. You've made content about something deeply technical and made it interesting. Any of these are great, none are required.

Why This Is Worth It
  • You'll build Nyad's entire creative presence from scratch — the brand the industry sees is yours.
  • Your work directly drives growth. Every video, post, and campaign connects to real demos and real customers.
  • Deep creative freedom with real ownership and equity that reflects your foundational role.
  • You'll join a small, intense, mission-driven team solving one of the most important and least digitized problems on Earth.
  • No layers, no committees — work directly with founders every day.
