offe market is the internet's favorite off-price retailer, serving up overstock, past-season, and sample sale gems from brands you actually care about (think Ganni, Lisa Says Gah, Baggu, and beyond). We move fast, we obsess over our community, and we take the chaos of off-price retail and make it feel effortless for our customers. Now we need someone to be the calm, capable, friendly face (well, inbox) behind every order question, return, and "where is my package?!" moment.
What we're looking for: You're a natural problem-solver who genuinely enjoys helping people. You know how to de-escalate a frustrated customer and turn them into a loyal one — and you do it with warmth, not just copy-paste responses. You're comfortable working independently, knowing when to loop in the team and when to just handle it. You care about getting things right, and you move quickly without sacrificing quality.
You'll be handling day-to-day customer support, working closely with our fulfillment and brand teams to resolve issues fast and keep our customers coming back. This is a part-time role — low volume, flexible hours, perfect for someone who wants meaningful work without a full queue.
Responsibilities:
- Own the support queue in Gorgias — responding to customer inquiries across email and chat with speed and care
- Handle order issues, shipping delays, missing packages, and general product questions
- Process and manage returns and exchanges through Loop Returns
- Coordinate with our fulfillment team and brand team via Slack to investigate and resolve order issues
- Flag patterns — if the same issue is popping up repeatedly, we want to know
- Help maintain and improve canned responses and macros to keep support efficient and on-brand
- Support customers through the full post-purchase journey with empathy and accuracy
You are:
- Someone with 1–3 years of customer service experience, ideally in e-commerce or retail
- Someone who lives in Los Angeles (ideally not far from Echo Park!) This is mostly WFH but we meet up on Mondays in the back office at the shop.
- Comfortable and efficient in Gorgias, Shopify, and Loop Returns (or quick to learn)
- A clear, friendly communicator — in writing especially
- Highly organized and self-directed; you don't need someone looking over your shoulder
- Cool-headed when things get hectic (and in off-price retail, they will)
- Genuinely excited about fashion, sustainability, and the brands we carry — bonus points if you're already shopping off-price
