Olli Health (a Techstars NYC '24) is a startup building best-in-class AI tools for home health agencies, and we are seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to join our distributed team.

Join us on our mission to modernize home healthcare operations so that home healthcare professionals do what they do best; delivering quality care.

We recently closed a $3M Seed round from top healthtech and AI-focused VCs investors and are using this financing to build a bar-raising engineering team to tackle this problem.

We’re looking for a creative, low-ego, collaborative, engineer who is energized by challenging, nuanced problems with the potential to have a massive impact. Experience running ML experiments, designing data pipelines, and evaluating human-in-the-loop workflows will be extremely useful.

About Olli Health (www.ollihomehealth.ai):

Our small team is made up of prior tech founders passionate about healthtech, and we know home health inside and out (thanks to 20 years of experience owning/operating home health and hospice companies). We are motivated by the opportunity for impact, and driven to ensure that our parents, friends, (and ourselves!) will continue to have access to quality healthcare in the home.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience working on collaborative software or data science projects, and the typical tooling (git, task tracking, etc), and skills (producing readable, quality code) that come with it.
  • Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms
  • Fluent building everything from REST APIs to heavy chained workflows in Python
  • An enjoyment of that startup balance between efficiency, scalability, and shipping fast to meet customer needs.
  • Flexible problem solving – equally eager to review CS conference papers, benchmark SOTA algorithms, or design novel approaches – and wise enough to know which approach is most likely to be the highest leverage in the current context.
  • Familiarity with statistical models and a range of machine learning techniques (supervised and unsupervised)
  • Authorization to work in the US, as we currently do not sponsor visas for this position
  • Preference will be given to candidates based in NYC who can work with our CTO in person several days per month

Desirable Skills (Bonuses):

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) fundamentals, and a variety of RAG approaches
  • An appreciation for the challenges of building with LMs (healthy skepticism a must)
  • Experience with our stack: AWS, PostgreSQL, Redis, Python, Pytorch, React
  • Experience building data pipelines for analytics and ML-ready datasets
  • Experience working with healthcare datasets (e.g. payer claims data, EHR charts, ICD-10 coding, etc.)
  • Experience building secure systems with HIPAA compliance as a core principle

Your Role:

  • Work directly with our small but growing engineering team on a daily basis to run experiments, improve algorithms, prioritize and ship key functionality
  • This is a key early engineering FT role with vesting options, etc.
  • This role will be remote with travel to quarterly team onsite meetings

What We Offer:

  • A chance to be at the forefront of healthtech innovation
  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment that prioritizes debate, and ethical decision-making, and is allergic to inflated egos
  • Opportunities for professional growth and leadership
  • Competitive compensation with vesting equity

Compensation Range:

  • $140,000 - $160,000 annual FTE base comp
  • Equity vesting options

Benefits:

  • Health, vision, dental, life insurance
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Individual budget to purchase your preferred laptop and monitor setup

Join Olli and be a part of a team that's redefining home healthcare through technology. Help us make a tangible difference in the lives of nurses, physical therapists, and the older adults they care for.
