As a ServiceNow Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of ServiceNow applications & processes by designing, executing, and automating test cases. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to validate configurations, workflows, and integrations, ensuring compliance with best practices and business requirements. Your expertise in ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and third-party testing tools will help drive test automation and efficiency. Additionally, you will track defects, support upgrades, and contribute to Agile processes to continuously improve platform stability and performance.
About You
8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 4+ years in ServiceNow testing.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and third-party test automation tools.
Good knowledge of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CMDB, Custom Apps & Service Portal..
Proficiency in JavaScript, REST API testing, and database queries.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
ServiceNow Certification(s) in ATF or related areas is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently lead the design, development and execution of comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts for ServiceNow applications and modules.
Drive the Test Automation initiative by implementing scalable automation frameworks using ATF, Selenium, or other industry-standard tools.
Perform end-to-end testing including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure application quality and stability.
Collaborate proactively with developers, business system analysts, and stakeholders to identify issues early, resolve defects efficiently, and validate solutions against business requirements.
Validate ServiceNow configurations, workflows, and customizations against business requirements.
Report and track defects using Jira or other test management tools.
Ensure compliance with best practices, security guidelines, and ServiceNow development standards.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Skills and Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
Familiarity with ITIL framework and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels.
Experience in ServiceNow upgrades and migration testing.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
Exposure to Performance Testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.).
Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
