About the Team

The Workday Adaptive Planning Support team is looking for an experienced support engineer who is excited about SaaS and helping customers solve complex problems.

About the Role

The Role

This is a customer facing role that works closely with our product development and support analyst teams to help customers find workarounds and solutions to product issues. The support engineer is responsible for managing a ticket queue of cases with varying levels of complexity for the Adaptive Planning Financial Planning, Reporting, and Integration products and making sure that customers get timely updates. The ideal candidate has experience working within a SaaS support organization, enjoys working with customers, has some understanding of programming, and has experience working on SasS based enterprise web applications.

Location & Shift

This position is based in the Workday Heredia office. Candidates will be expected to work from the office at least 50% of the time. Typical shift will be from 10 am - 7pm CST. Participate in on-call rotation to provide weekends, holidays and after-hours support when needed.

Esta función es de atención al cliente y trabaja en estrecha colaboración con nuestros equipos de analistas de desarrollo y soporte de productos para ayudar a los clientes a encontrar soluciones alternativas a los problemas con los productos. El ingeniero de soporte es responsable de administrar una cola de tickets de casos con distintos niveles de complejidad para los productos de planificación financiera, informes e integración de Adaptive Planning, y debe asegurarse de que los clientes reciban las actualizaciones oportunas. El candidato ideal debe tener experiencia trabajando dentro de una organización de soporte de SaaS, disfrutar trabajando con clientes, tener algo de conocimiento de programación y experiencia trabajando en aplicaciones web empresariales basadas en SaaS.

Lugar y turno

Esta posición tiene su base en la oficina de Workday en Heredia. Se espera que los candidatos trabajen desde la oficina al menos el 50 % del tiempo. El turno normal será de 10 a. m. a 7 p. m. (CST). Deberá participar en la rotación de guardia para brindar soporte los fines de semana, los días festivos y fuera del horario laboral cuando sea necesario.

About You

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Support related role with 2+ years’ experience as a support engineer, preferred in an enterprise software product

  • Experience managing highly escalated cases across multiple enterprise customer accounts.

  • Working knowledge of Linux, SQL, DBMS, and any of the following: Java, .NET, C#, or any other programming language

Other Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to come up with solutions / workarounds to complex problems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with the ability to communicate with users at all levels and varying technical ability

  • Proactive, empathetic, team player who is responsive to customer needs and concerns

  • Have attention to detail and deep understanding of support best practices

  • Experience collaborating with internal development and/or QA teams, acting as a customer advocate.

  • Familiarity with finance and/or financial planning software applications/integrations is preferred. However, we also welcome applications from individuals with a strong interest in developing expertise in this area.

  • Have these technical skills:

    • Web Services / API

    • ETL, Pentaho, Integration Implementation or Support

    • Jenkins & Git

    • K8s and Docker

    • ELK / any log aggregation tool

    • JavaScript

Cualificaciones básicas
- 5 años o más de experiencia en una función relacionada con soporte, con 2 años o más de experiencia como ingeniero de soporte, preferiblemente en un producto de software empresarial.
- Experiencia en la gestión de casos de remisión a una instancia superior en múltiples cuentas de clientes corporativos.
- Experiencia con Linux, SQL, DBMS y cualquiera de los siguientes: Java, .NET, C# o cualquier otro lenguaje de programación.

Otras cualificaciones

- Excelentes habilidades analíticas y destreza para encontrar soluciones o alternativas a problemas complejos.
- Excelentes habilidades de comunicación escrita y verbal, combinadas con la capacidad de comunicarse con usuarios de todos los niveles y con diferentes capacidades técnicas.
- Ser una persona proactiva, empática, que juega en equipo y responde a las necesidades e inquietudes de los clientes.
- Atención a los detalles y un profundo conocimiento de las mejores prácticas de soporte.
- Experiencia trabajando con equipos internos de desarrollo o control de calidad y actuando como defensor del cliente.
- Preferentemente con conocimientos sobre aplicaciones e integraciones de software de finanzas o planificación financiera. Sin embargo, también aceptamos solicitudes de personas con un fuerte interés en desarrollar experiencia en esta área.
