IT Operations Manager

At One Model, we’re scaling fast in the people analytics space, and we need someone to take ownership of the IT backbone that powers our growth. This role is hands-on: you’ll be the one closing tickets, troubleshooting issues, and keeping day-to-day operations smooth. But it’s also about more than support. You’ll design and run IT operations that make a global, remote-first team work seamlessly.
From onboarding new hires to securing devices and managing our SaaS stack, you’ll ensure employees across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas can rely on their tools every single day. In short, you’ll build and deliver the IT experience that lets our people do their best work.
What you’ll do
- Own onboarding - get new starters up and running with laptops, accounts, and access on day one, ensuring a seamless start.
- Manage identities and access - handle provisioning, deprovisioning, and password resets with speed and accuracy.
- Solve problems hands-on - troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, networks, and our SaaS stack.
- Run and improve our SaaS ecosystem - administer Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Zscaler, Bitwarden, and HRIS tools, and recommend improvements where needed.
- Keep devices secure and compliant - oversee MDM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management, always looking ahead to potential risks.
- Capture and improve processes - document IT workflows, refine them over time, and grow our internal knowledge base.
- Take initiative - spot gaps before they become issues, propose improvements, and drive projects that make IT operations more resilient and efficient.
- Work globally - provide timely support across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas, adapting to the needs of a remote-first workforce.
- Stay ahead on security - collaborate with IT and security stakeholders to align with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 requirements.
What we’re looking for
- A systems administrator who thrives on autonomy. You know how to run IT ops as a team of one.
- Based in a Pacific or Central US timezone, you’ve supported remote-first, globally distributed teams across Australia, the Americas, and Europe.
- You’re fluent with account management tools (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, or Office 365), confident across MacOS and Windows environments, and experienced with SaaS administration and endpoint management.
- You’re a natural troubleshooter who leads with a security-first mindset, always balancing speed with protection.
- You communicate clearly, proactively, and comfortably in asynchronous environments.
- You’re organised, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple priorities without losing track.
- Most importantly, you take initiative. You spot gaps, fix them, and look for ways to make IT ops smoother, stronger, and more scalable.
