The HR Generalist plays a key hands-on role in driving recruiting and onboarding while owning core day-to-day HR and People Operations. This role sits at the center of our growth—helping attract top talent, create a seamless new hire experience, and ensure our people processes run smoothly across a fully remote team.

You'll partner closely with the Senior Director of HR to keep hiring moving, maintain operational precision, and help build a high-performing, distributed workplace. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and takes pride in balancing strong attention to detail with proactive communication and follow-through.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Own end-to-end recruiting operations across multiple concurrent searches, including sourcing support, structured screening, interview coordination, and candidate experience management
  • Proactively manage recruiting timelines by partnering with hiring managers to ensure timely feedback and progression through interview stages
  • Coordinate offer logistics by preparing offer documentation and communicating approved offers to candidates
  • Own and continuously improve onboarding processes, including paperwork, systems access, first-week coordination, and orientation, to ensure a smooth and high-quality new hire experience
  • Maintain accurate ATS data and track key recruiting and onboarding metrics to support consistent workflows and ensure hiring timelines and milestones stay on track

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Own and execute day-to-day HR operations, including payroll changes, benefits administration (enrollments, changes, and inquiries), and employee data maintenance
  • Manage compliance efforts by maintaining accurate documentation, tracking required notices and trainings, and executing processes aligned with federal, state, and local requirements
  • Assist with HR audits, reporting, file accuracy checks, and required notices and training compliance
  • Maintain accurate employee records by performing routine data checks and ensuring updates and documentation are completed accurately and on time
  • Contribute to the refinement and improvement of HR processes, documentation, and SOPs to support scalable and consistent HR operations

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and policy guidance, partnering with the Senior Director of HR on workplace concerns or more complex issues
  • Coordinate engagement and culture initiatives, including recognition programs, surveys, communications, and events
  • Support timely execution of recurring HR cycles (e.g., training, performance reviews, audits) by tracking completion, maintaining the HR calendar, and ensuring deadlines and processes are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required
  • Minimum 4 years of professional HR experience, preferably in a high-growth or multi-state organization
  • Experience supporting full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer logistics
  • Strong operational discipline with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining high accuracy
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with proven ability to maintain accurate HRIS, payroll, and ATS data in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of core HR functions, including payroll processes, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations fundamentals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization
  • Strong sense of ownership with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach and ability to drive tasks through completion with minimal oversight
  • Familiarity with U.S. employment law fundamentals (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA) with ability to escalate complex matters appropriately

Pay Disclosure: The total base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $95,000 annually, with an opportunity for a quarterly discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be determined based on skills and experience.
