About the Role
The Director of People and Operations (Integrator/COO) is the operational and cultural backbone of the business and the trusted right hand to the CEO. This leader turns vision into execution, strategy into measurable results, and big ideas into focused action.
In this full-time leadership role, you’ll lead and develop a team while ensuring the business runs smoothly, priorities stay clear, and growth happens intentionally, without chaos or burnout. You’ll intentionally keep the CEO out of day-to-day operational details, creating space for them to focus on sales, relationships, and strategic expansion.
This role requires sound judgment, a love for leadership and people, confident decision-making, and a steady presence. When you’re in the seat, the organization feels aligned, disciplined, and forward moving.
What You’ll Do
Drive Strategy & Execution
- Partner closely with the CEO to translate vision into clear strategies, priorities, and execution plans
- Lead company-wide alignment around weekly, monthly quarterly and annual goals, quarterly priorities (Rocks), and growth initiatives
- Evaluate ideas and opportunities and confidently recommend whether to move forward, pause, or say no
- Maintain focus and prevent priority drift once direction is set
- Collaborate with finance to establish aligned annual and quarterly budgets
- Track and present KPIs through dashboards and proactively adjust plans as needed
Lead People & Culture
- Serve as the people leader for the organization as a whole, managing and developing a high-performing team.
- Build and protect a healthy, accountable, and values-driven culture
- Clarify roles, expectations, and performance standards
- Address challenges early and constructively
- Remove obstacles and reduce friction across teams
- Model calm, confident, positive and transparent leadership during growth and change
Own EOS, Accountability & Focus
- Set and manage company Rocks in partnership with the CEO
- Guide team-level Rocks and execution planning
- Lead focused leadership meetings, scorecards, and reporting rhythms
- Reinforce priorities consistently and visibly
- Hold teams accountable while providing the support needed to deliver
Manage Partners & Vendors
- Oversee key business partners including HR, finance, IT, marketing, and legal
- Ensure partners are aligned to company goals, timelines, and expectations
- Evaluate partner performance and make adjustments when necessary
- Serve as the central point of coordination to ensure integrated, efficient execution
Build Systems for Scale
- Identify and implement automation to eliminate manual, redundant, and error-prone work
- Champion tools and workflows that improve efficiency, visibility, and scalability
- Ensure systems support growth without adding unnecessary complexity
Strengthen Communication & CEO Focus
- Provide proactive, clear communication across the organization
- Translate complex data into simple, visual reporting
- Anticipate issues early and prevent surprises
- Serve as a trusted thought partner and stabilizing force for the CEO
- Protect the CEO’s time and focus by owning operational execution
What You Bring
- Proven experience as an Integrator, COO, or senior operations leader in a small to midsize growing professional services or marketing organization
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategy and hands-on execution
- Confidence to set direction, make decisions, and hold accountability. Strong knowledge of EOS a huge plus
- Excellent people leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple partners and cross-functional workstreams
- Systems-thinking mindset with a passion for operational efficiency
- Highly organized, proactive, and calm under pressure
- Experience in marketing, creative, recruiting, or professional services environments preferred

Compensation includes a base salary starting at $100,000 + bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health benefits, PTO, and a 401(k) with employer match.
