Workday HRIS Business Systems Analyst

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Onsite)

Contract Length: 6+ months

Role Overview

The Workday HRIS Business Systems Analyst supports and enhances the organization’s Workday environment, with a primary focus on Time Tracking and Absence modules. This role is responsible for troubleshooting system issues, managing configuration, supporting reporting needs, and ensuring successful adoption of new features and releases. The analyst partners closely with HR, IT, and cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day support for Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules across multiple countries (U.S. and Canada), including environments with multiple plans and unions.
  • Troubleshoot system defects, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Configure Workday functionality, maintain business processes, and support ongoing system administration.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR operations.
  • Participate in testing cycles for new releases, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements and partner with IT on technical design and development.
  • Serve as a liaison between HR, IT, and business units to ensure alignment on system capabilities and enhancements.
  • Evaluate new Workday features, assess business impact, and recommend adoption strategies.
  • Prepare documentation, communications, and presentations related to system changes and enhancements.
  • Work under the direction of a project manager to support project deliverables and timelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on Workday Time Tracking and Absence experience in a similar analyst capacity.
  • Experience supporting multi‑country (U.S./Canada) environments with multiple plans and union configurations.
  • Strong understanding of Workday configuration, reporting, testing, and release management.
  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Milwaukee, WI.
