What We Are Looking For

Reporting the to the Director of Engagement and Culture, this role is responsible for planning, leading, and delivering organizational development and digital learning initiatives that support leaders, teams, and strategic priorities across Oak Valley Health.

Working closely with the OD team and key stakeholders, this role provides consultative services, facilitates learning programs, supports change management efforts, and administers the Learning Management System (LMS) in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

This position plays a critical role in strengthening leadership capability, employee engagement, digital learning adoption, and overall organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities Include

  • Provide strategic organizational development consultation to leaders and teams, including diagnosing challenges, facilitating interventions, and recommending solutions to enhance individual and team effectiveness.
  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate leadership development, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational effectiveness programs.
  • Lead and support digital learning initiatives, including recommending appropriate e-learning modalities, developing project plans, and ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation, session scheduling, reporting, user support, and continuous system optimization.
  • Coach leaders and staff on professional development, team effectiveness, change management practices, and effective use of digital learning tools.
  • Facilitate learning programs, team-building sessions, leadership workshops, and General Hospital Orientation.
  • Analyze engagement data, program evaluations, and other metrics to identify gaps and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by identifying barriers to adoption, developing mitigation strategies, and guiding leaders through implementation.
  • Develop digital learning assets including job aids, tutorials, guides, and evaluation tools to enhance learning effectiveness and adoption.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, IT, Clinical Education, Leadership) and external partners to support strategic initiatives and best practices.
  • Ensure all programs and digital learning materials meet organizational branding, quality, accessibility, privacy, and compliance standards.

What You Bring To The Role

  • A post secondary degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Adult Education, or a related field (required); Master’s degree in Organizational Development or Adult Learning (preferred).
  • 4–6 years of progressive experience supporting organizational development, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, team development, conflict management, and facilitating organizational interventions.
  • Experience administering or supporting a Learning Management System (LMS); experience with Workday (HRIS and/or Learning module) is considered an asset.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills with the ability to engage audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience leveraging HR technology and digital learning tools to enhance program delivery and reporting.
  • Strong project planning and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Healthcare and/or unionized environment experience considered an asset.
  • Additional certifications in coaching, change management, instructional design, Appreciative Inquiry, or psychometric tools are considered assets.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.

Work Schedule

Days 7.5 hours, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet deadlines and meetings as needed. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required in order to work with key stakeholders
