About the Role
Due to ongoing growth and the expansion of our HR Shared Services model, we are seeking a Senior HRIS (Workday) Analyst to join our South Bank team.
This is a pivotal role responsible for owning the stability, configuration, and continuous improvement of Workday across our Australian business. Working closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT, you will ensure Workday remains accurate, compliant, and optimised to support our operational and strategic priorities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, partnering across functions, and driving system improvements that directly impact business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Workday Configuration & Support
- Own day‑to‑day triage, root‑cause analysis and resolution of Workday HCM/Payroll issues
- Maintain business processes, supervisory orgs, security roles, pay components, and integrations
- Ensure data accuracy, audit trails, and compliance with Fair Work, Awards and EA rules
- Create and update Workday guides, knowledge articles, and user enablement materials
Governance, Compliance & Reporting
- Lead configuration governance including change control, documentation, and release readiness
- Plan and execute Workday bi‑annual regression testing
- Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards for HR, Payroll and business leaders
- Support salary compliance checks, Award/EA accuracy reviews, and WGEA reporting
AMS Vendor Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for AMS, ensuring all escalations are triaged, scoped and validated internally
- Monitor AMS consumption and deliver accurate usage forecasts
- Ensure AMS hours are reserved for genuine Tier‑3/complex configuration work
Continuous Improvement
- Identify system improvement opportunities and support enhancement projects
- Contribute to the HR/Payroll quarterly Workday roadmap
- Partner across teams to deliver scalable solutions and improved user experience
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 5+ years’ experience in Workday/HRIS configuration (HCM essential; AU payroll highly regarded)
- Experience with Awards, allowances, tax, superannuation and STP (or willingness to build depth)
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent documentation, testing and governance discipline
- Any Workday certifications (HCM, Reporting, Payroll, Integrations) are highly desirable
