The Role
The Head of People & Culture is responsible for ensuring Aunty Grace has the frameworks, policies and tools in place to deliver on our commitment to our people and to foster the care culture that we take to the delivery over our services to our clients. The Head of People & Culture will also be responsible for creating an environment that provides our people with the opportunity for career development and learning to ensure they have the skills & expertise to respond to the needs of our clients. As an organization operating in a highly regulated sector, the Head of People & Culture is also responsible for ensuring we are complying with the regulatory frameworks under which we operate and respond to any changes in these frameworks.
The Head of People & Culture will:
· Provide leadership of the setting of Aunty Grace’s people & culture strategy
· Develop, implement & regularly review the frameworks and policies we have in place to comply with
our regulatory obligations in relation to our workforce
· Partner with the Executive, Board, and Operations teams to implement the organisation’ business
strategy.
· Advise on emerging risks, trends, and opportunities in relation to our industry and workforce
Expected
· Tertiary education in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Industrial Relations or any related
discipline.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Senior Human Resources/People & Culture position or similar
· Proven experience in providing proactive strategic people leadership
· Experience in operating in sectors which are highly regulated
· Experience in understanding employment agreements, fair work and occupational health & safety
requirements
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to engage with
stakeholders
Desirable
· Experience in leading human resources functions within the health and/or aged care sector
· Has experience in dealing with a workforce that includes subcontractors
Mandatory Requirements
This offer of this role will be conditional on the preferred applicant also successfully meeting the following criteria:
The right to work in Australia
A National Criminal History Check / Police Check (working without supervision with vulnerable people) showing no disclosable Court Outcomes or Convictions.
Vaccination status - We require proof of the initial 2 COVID Vaccinations and strongly encourage COVID boosters and an annual influenza vaccination
A current, valid Australian Driver’s License with no restrictions
Excellent references from two relevant work-related referees
