the authentics: recruit

12-Month Fixed Term Contract | ASAP Start

Macquarie Park | Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 WFH)

circa $150,000 AUD

We love partnering with this high-performing PE backed Australian financial services business entering its next phase of maturity following significant growth through acquisition and new revenue streams.

They are seeking a commercially sharp People & Culture Business Partner to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Head of People Partnering and working alongside an established P&CBP within a broader team of 11, you will partner directly with ELT and SLT leaders across financial lending and commercial broking portfolios within a circa 350-employee national organisation.

This is a visible, consultative and trusted business advisor remit with a specialist skillset across HR not a back-office position.

The focus will be to embedding and lifting capability and enable leaders to drive performance.

You will:

  • Lead OD and workforce design and planning initiatives for your client groups
  • Embed culture, values and team cohesion post-acquisition and growth
  • Drive leadership development programs and engagement activity
  • Partner on annual performance and remuneration cycles
  • Lead talent and succession planning conversations
  • Coach leaders through complex employee relations matters
  • Challenge thinking, influence decisions and clearly articulate the “why”

This is a true generalist remit: strategic in outlook, hands-on in execution.

You'll succeed if you are a confident (yet low ego), commercially minded HRBP who is comfortable operating at senior level.

You know what great People & Culture looks like though you’ve also built from scratch when needed.

You bring:

  • Proven experience partnering with ELT / SLT as a People Business Partner (or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation
  • A consultative, coaching-led style
  • The ability to push back constructively and influence outcomes
  • Commercial pragmatism, analytical (you get data to make informed decisions) yet balanced
  • Experience in high-performing teams and a love for growth and learning

Financial services experience is advantageous, though not essential.

You’ll join a smart, ethical and genuinely collaborative P&C function. The Head of P&C partnering is accessible, highly regarded and invested in developing their team: providing both guidance and autonomy.

The organisation is committed to flexibility and balance, operating a hybrid model and committing to

This role will suit an experienced HRBP who enjoys ownership, influence and driving meaningful impact during a critical phase.

ASAP start preferred. Two stage interview process plus psychometric testing and references.
