Job Description People Operations Specialist (Contract)

Location: Remote

The People Operations Specialist supports day-to-day HR operations, acting as a key point of contact for employee inquiries related to employment, onboarding, offboarding, and general HR processes. This role partners closely with employees, HR team members, and business stakeholders to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of people-related services. This is a temporary contract position covering a leave.Key Responsibilities

  • Support employees and managers by responding to HR-related questions regarding policies, onboarding, offboarding, and employment processes.
  • Complete weekly new-hire onboarding activities, including first-day orientation paperwork and maintenance of employment records.
  • Process and maintain personnel files, including I-9 documentation for new hires across the US, Canada, and LATAM regions.
  • Conduct benefits and payroll overview sessions during new hire orientation.
  • Support the company s contingent worker and partner workforce, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance.
  • Perform monthly audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with HR policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support E-Verify processing and assist with international transfers.
  • Participate as a project team member on company-wide HR and People Operations initiatives.
  • Assist in the execution of the company-wide HR strategy, providing day-to-day employee relations guidance and support.
  • Manage data entry, updates, and employee record changes within Workday.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 2 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and manage employee support scenarios.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Workday experience is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
