The Role

We are looking for a People Operations Associate to join Plentific's People and Talent team. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence across compliance, colleague lifecycle, payroll, and employee experience.

You will play a key role in maintaining robust governance standards while delivering a seamless and positive colleague experience across all stages of the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day support of our people operations function
  • Management, quality control and compliance of all people data, policies, processes and procedures
  • Focus on exceptional delivery with Plentific colleagues, building People Operations capability that can scale and support growth

Colleague lifecycle

  • Own operational delivery of joiner, mover, and leaver processes
  • Deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience, including inductions and system setup
  • Manage effective offboarding processes, including exit interviews and data accuracy
  • Monitor and report on probation periods, providing insights to People Director
  • Ensure all lifecycle data is accurate and up to date in BambooHR

Compensation and Benefits

  • Support monthly payroll processes (UK and DE) in partnership with Finance
  • Maintain accurate payroll change records and benefits administration
  • Manage and administer employee benefits across all entities
  • Support the operational delivery of compensation and review cycles
  • Provide compensation reporting and data insights to business stakeholders

HR Policy, Governance and Compliance

  • Maintain and update HR policies and handbooks in line with UK legislation, ISO requirements, and best practice
  • Ensure right-to-work checks are completed and documented accurately
  • Manage visa and immigration processes, partnering with third-party providers where required to renew visas
  • Maintain compliance with UK immigration regulations, keeping accurate records and ensure legal duties are met
  • Oversee Working from Abroad requests, ensuring policy compliance
  • Maintain accurate compliance records across all entities

Employee Relations

  • Act as first-line support for People queries via the HR mailbox and ticketing system
  • Support the People Director with operational aspects of ER cases
  • Ensure ER matters are handled in a timely, professional, and compliant manner

Data and Reporting Accuracy

  • Maintain HRIS system (BambooHR), ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Provide MI and reporting to the business leads to provide insights when requested
  • Keep the company intranet, induction deck updated and support people analytics and insights where required.

Skills

  • Strong operational execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stay resilient and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, scaling environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across people data, documentation, and compliance processes
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business
  • Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A high level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive employee information
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a drive to continuously improve processes and colleague experience
  • A service-oriented approach, ensuring colleagues receive timely and professional support
  • Proactively keeping up to date with HR best practice and employment law

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in a People Operations role, preferably in a fast-paced, scaling environment
  • Experience maintaining policies, accurate data and ensuring governance standards are audit-ready
  • Understanding of payroll operations and benefits administration, preferably across multiple entities
  • Familiarity with end-to-end colleague lifecycle best practices
  • Working knowledge of performance management and compensation cycle processes
  • Some knowledge of right-to-work requirements and UK immigration processes preferable
  • CIPD qualifications are desired but not essential.
