Summary:

The HRIS Specialist for Talent & Core HCM serves as the technical business partner to Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and HR Business Partner teams, owning the system architecture, configuration, and data management for Core HCM, Recruiting, Performance Management, and related talent modules. This role translates business requirements into system solutions, ensures organizational data integrity, and provides expert consultation on system capabilities and process optimization.

Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000 CAD

Key Responsibilities:

System Architecture & Configuration (40%)

  • Design and maintain organizational structure including supervisory orgs, cost centers, and locations
  • Configure and maintain job catalog, job profiles, and position management
  • Set up recruiting workflows for requisitions, candidate tracking, and offer management
  • Configure and maintain onboarding checklists, tasks, and new hire workflows
  • Design performance review templates and goal-setting frameworks
  • Maintain talent profile configurations including skills taxonomy and competencies
  • Configure succession planning and career development tools

Business Process Management (25%)

  • Configure and maintain all HCM, recruiting and Performance Management business processes
  • Manage job change processes including transfers, promotions, and lateral moves
  • Set up termination and offboarding workflows
  • Orchestrate performance review cycles and calibration processes
  • Configure manager self-service workflows and approval routing
  • Support organizational change processes and restructuring activities
  • Work with Total Rewards team during annual compensation reviews to ensure accurate reporting.

Data Management & Validation (20%)

  • Validate new hire data loads and ensure accuracy
  • Monitor organizational hierarchy integrity and resolve reporting structure issues
  • Standardize job data across acquired companies and legacy systems
  • Maintain worker profile completeness and data accuracy
  • Validate performance review data and participation rates

Business Partnership (15%)

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruiting system optimization and candidate experience
  • Support Talent Management on performance and succession planning process design
  • Consult with HR Business Partners on org design and workforce planning
  • Translate business requirements into system configuration specifications
  • Train talent and HR teams on system capabilities and best practices

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of HRIS experience with focus on Core HCM, talent acquisition, or talent management
  • Hands-on experience configuring Workday Core HCM, Recruiting, or Talent Management modules
  • Strong understanding of HR processes including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and org design
  • Knowledge of recruiting workflows and applicant tracking systems
  • Experience with organizational structures and position management
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail with commitment to data accuracy
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday HCM, Recruiting, or Talent Management Pro certification
  • Experience with annual performance review cycles and goal management
  • Knowledge of succession planning and career development best practices
  • Experience with organizational restructuring and M&A integrations
  • Familiarity with ATS integrations and background check vendor systems
  • Understanding of workforce analytics and headcount reporting
