We have an opportunity available for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our support office team in St. Leonards, Sydney. The People & Culture Coordinator provides coordination and partnering support for the full employment life cycle for new, existing and exiting team members, including administration and advisory activities, document management, preparation, delivery and system updates for onboarding, induction, changes to employment conditions, termination. They are the first line advice to People leaders and team members, and support to the wider P&C team. The position is full time permanent position, with opportunities to extend your career with Only About Children.
What You'll Do
The purpose of the People & Culture Coordinator is:
HR Administration & Systems Coordination.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding, including pre-employment checks, contracts, documentation, and timely system setup in Humanforce HR.
- Prepare and manage employee documentation (employment changes, leave, statements of service, etc.).
- Coordinate terminations and ensure all exit processes are completed.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
- Support compliance requirements (work rights, checks, pay rates, accreditations, reviews).
- Liaise with payroll to resolve employee pay issues.
- Provide HR systems support (Ichris, Humanforce) and generate regular and ad hoc reports.
- Act as first point of contact for employee queries, providing frontline HR advice on policies, benefits, awards, systems, and processes.
- Support P&C Partners on regional matters, escalating employee relations and performance issues as needed while building knowledge for future cases.
- Partner with Operations to support delivery of the people strategy.
- Lead or support P&C initiatives and projects (e.g. recognition, benefits, STI programs).
- Assist with annual remuneration reviews.
- Contribute to mandatory compliance reporting (e.g. WGEA, ELACCA, AON, census).
- Support visa management and liaise with immigration lawyers.
- Assist with new campus acquisitions, ensuring compliance and smooth onboarding.
- Contribute to policy development and review.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance P&C efficiency.
- 12 months' work experience as an HR Administrator/Coordinator minimum.
- Experience with using an HRIS, familiarity with “Humanforce HR” highly regarded although not essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience advising on basic employment legislation guidance.
- Strong MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook skills.
