About the Role

Join a transformative project - Project Horizon - shaping the future of HR and payroll systems across Uniting Church NSW/ACT. As our HRIS Data & Reporting Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in migrating payroll data from Preceda into Dayforce, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and a seamless transition for our teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract, analyse and validate payroll and timesheet data.
  • Map and migrate data from Preceda into Dayforce, including complex and non‑like‑for‑like fields.
  • Support SIT, UAT, parallel payroll testing, cutover, and hypercare.
  • Investigate and resolve data issues, defects, and discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain clear documentation for mapping, testing, and reconciliation.
  • Partner closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and external implementation partners.
  • Conduct regular data audits and uphold data privacy and security standards.
  • Develop Dayforce reports and support stakeholders with insights, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data, reporting, and payroll processes.

About You

  • Strong payroll data analysis capability.
  • Experience in HRIS or payroll system migrations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, reconciliation, and validation (Power BI/reporting tools advantageous).
  • Proven experience in data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting testing cycles and hypercare.
  • Ability to write HRIS reports and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • A genuine willingness to embrace challenges and contribute to shared goals.
  • A preparedness to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia.

Desirable

  • Experience with Preceda and/or Dayforce.
  • Knowledge of Australian payroll compliance.
  • Exposure to timesheet/workforce data.
