Jackson Health System is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and mission‑driven Associate Vice President (AVP) of Talent Acquisition & Talent Management to help shape the future of one of the nation’s most respected public health systems. This is a high‑impact leadership role for a visionary who excels at the intersection of strategy, analytics, culture, and workforce transformation.
As the AVP, you will lead the enterprise strategy for talent acquisition, onboarding, internal mobility, and workforce development—building an engaged, agile, and future‑ready organization that strengthens Jackson’s mission of delivering world‑class care to the community.
What You’ll Lead
Enterprise Talent Strategy
- Design and execute an integrated talent acquisition, onboarding, and talent management strategy aligned with Jackson’s mission and long‑term workforce needs.
- Advise senior leaders on workforce solutions that strengthen clinical excellence, operational readiness, and organizational growth.
- Champion cultural transformation and change management as part of the senior HR leadership team.
Workforce Planning
- Partner with clinical, operational, and HR leaders to deploy workforce strategies that support financial, operational, and quality goals.
- Use internal and market labor data to forecast talent gaps, mitigate risks, and guide systemwide planning.
Recruitment Excellence
- Oversee high‑volume enterprise recruitment across hospitals and service lines.
- Strengthen recruitment marketing, digital sourcing, and employer branding to attract diverse, mission‑aligned talent.
- Lead executive, physician, and hard‑to‑fill role recruitment.
Onboarding & New Hire Experience
- Own the enterprise onboarding strategy to deliver a seamless, scalable new‑hire experience.
- Ensure alignment with compliance, clinical education, and regulatory requirements.
Talent Management
- Lead systemwide succession planning, leadership development, and career mobility initiatives.
- Align learning and development programs with current and future skill needs.
- Build long‑term organizational capability through strategic workforce planning.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in talent acquisition and/or talent management, including 3+ years in an executive or system‑level role.
- Proven ability to design and execute enterprise talent strategies in complex, matrixed environments.
- Expertise in workforce analytics, dashboards, and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders across clinical and operational domains.
- Deep knowledge of recruitment marketing, workforce planning, onboarding, and leadership development.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred (HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field).
- Professional HR certification (SPHR, SHRM‑SCP, or equivalent) preferred.
