To support this mission, SASQ is appointing a Chief People Officer (CPO) based in New York to architect the human capital strategy, build a global talent engine, and institutionalize the culture, governance, and leadership systems of the organization.

This is a founding executive role focused on building people infrastructure from the ground up.

Executive Mandate

The Chief People Officer will design and lead the global people strategy for SASQ, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains exceptional talent while operating with institutional governance standards.

Core Responsibilities

Human Capital Strategy

1. Design and execute SASQ’s global human capital strategy

2. Build long-term workforce planning models

3. Align talent strategy with corporate growth objectives

4. Establish organizational design frameworks

5. Lead strategic workforce transformation initiatives

6. Develop executive succession planning systems

7. Implement performance management architecture

8. Build leadership development programs

9. Design global compensation frameworks

10. Align HR operations with global expansion strategy

Talent Development & Talent Production

11. Build leadership pipelines for future executives

12. Design programs for developing founders and operators

13. Establish internal talent academies and training frameworks

14. Develop global mentorship programs

15. Implement learning and development strategies

16. Create systems for continuous talent production

17. Develop competency frameworks across roles

18. Establish performance evaluation standards

Talent Acquisition & Management

19. Design global recruitment strategy

20. Build relationships with top universities and executive networks

21. Lead executive hiring initiatives

22. Establish employer branding strategy

23. Build high-performance teams across regions

24. Develop retention and engagement programs

25. Oversee global talent mobility programs

Remote Workforce Leadership

26. Design remote work management frameworks

27. Build global collaboration systems for distributed teams

28. Implement productivity and accountability structures

29. Create remote culture and engagement programs

30. Ensure seamless cross-border team operations

Governance, Compliance & Risk

31. Establish HR governance frameworks

32. Ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions

33. Design organizational risk management systems

34. Lead people-related risk strategy

35. Oversee due diligence processes for leadership hires

36. Build ethical conduct and compliance frameworks

37. Implement corporate governance standards for people operations

Strategic Planning & Group Development

38. Lead group-level workforce planning

39. Align people strategy with investment and expansion strategy

40. Build leadership frameworks for SASQ subsidiaries and ventures

41. Support board-level planning for organizational growth

42. Develop operating playbooks for global expansion

Ideal Profile

• 12+ years in human capital leadership or organizational strategy

• Experience in global organizations, investment platforms, or scaling startups

• Proven ability to build talent systems from the ground up

• Expertise in leadership development and organizational design

• Strong understanding of governance and compliance frameworks

• Experience managing remote and distributed teams

• Strategic mindset with operational execution capability
