Role Description

This is a volunteer hybrid role for an Independent Member of the People Committee at Manchester Football Association, with meetings held remotely. The role involves providing independent advice and guidance on our 'People Plan' which includes Workforce, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Wellbeing, and Reward & Recognition. Formerly known as our Nominations and Renumerations and Appointments Committee, the position requires collaborating with committee members, evaluating current policies, Board composition, recruitment and governance and contributing to the continuous improvement of staff and volunteer experiences.

We are particularly looking for an independent member with HR experience to add to our Committee. We welcome applications from women & diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in human resources, organisational development, or workforce management
• Understanding of diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding practices
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking and the ability to provide objective and independent advice
• Knowledge of governance and committee responsibilities is advantageous
• Passion for community engagement and the development of grassroots football
