Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic People and Culture leader to support our outstanding team.
This key position on the Hotel leadership team develops policy and directs and coordinates all People & Culture activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Using the Woodside Spirit as a guide, the position leads and embodies our values and principles in all interactions, supporting a culture of care, growth and performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promotes the Woodside Spirit at all times.
- Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems to promote a positive work environment.
- Prepares personnel forecast to project employment needs.
- Writes directives advising department managers of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.
- Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
- Develops and maintains a system that meets top management information needs.
- Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
- Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
- Follow all laws and compliance requirements as mandated by city, county, state, and federal laws.
- Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers or government officials regarding People and Culture policies and practices.
- Manages associates in the People and Culture department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Hotel.
Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the Hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the Hotel facilities.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred. Three plus years related Human Resources experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PAY RANGE
The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $135,000. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience, and education.
