About the Agency

The Australian Digital Health Agency leads the national effort to digitally enable Australia’s health system. We support the delivery of person-centred, connected healthcare through the development and adoption of digital health services and systems. Our work includes managing My Health Record, Electronic Prescriptions, and the My Health App, ensuring a healthier future for all Australians through connected healthcare.

As part of the Corporate Services Division, you’ll join a team of passionate professionals across a range of specialised domains that are all united by a shared mission to steward and accelerate the delivery of end-to-end, connected healthcare for all Australians.

You will play a key role in providing data-driven insights and analysis to support the HR function. This position will be responsible for reporting on HR data, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations to improve workforce strategies and outcomes. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organisation.

The position has a leadership role in implementing the One Model platform and taking carriage of stakeholder relationships within the people analytics space.

Key Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret HR data to provide insights on workforce trends, employee engagement, turnover, and other key HR metrics.
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards (in One Model) and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with P&C and other branches to understand their data needs and provide relevant analysis and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the HR function.
  • Support the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives by providing data and analysis to inform decision-making.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Python or R, and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with HR reporting using SAP (or other HRIS systems) and people analytics software such as One Model.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in workforce data and HR reporting requirements within the APS is highly desirable.

Desirable

  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience in a government or public sector environment.

Eligibility

Australian citizenship is a mandatory eligibility requirement. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain both a national police clearance and a Baseline security clearance, with the capacity to attain a higher-level clearance if required by the Agency.

Salary: This role offers between $101,379 - $114,373 plus 15.4% superannuation depending on skills and experience.

Order of Merit: Applicants rated as suitable will be placed in a merit pool that may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing positions throughout the Agency for up to 18 months.
