About the Opportunity

MGM Bulk is seeking a General Manager – People & Culture to join the executive team, based in Bunbury and reporting directly to the CEO.

This is a pivotal leadership role at a defining time for the organisation. As MGM continues to grow and mature, the People & Culture function is evolving into a modern, strategic capability that strengthens leadership, culture and workforce performance.

This role will lead that next phase — providing both strategic direction and operational leadership to ensure the organisation has the capability, culture and systems required to support ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the People & Culture strategy aligned to business objectives
• Partner closely with the CEO and Strategic Leadership Team on workforce strategy, organisational design and culture
• Build leadership capability and drive performance across a diverse, multi-site operation
• Oversee talent acquisition, workforce planning, learning and development, and ER/IR governance
• Strengthen employee experience and embed a consistent, values-led culture
• Enhance people systems, reporting and data-driven workforce decision-making

You will lead an integrated People & Culture function and play a central role in shaping the organisation’s future direction, capability and culture.

About You

You are an experienced and commercially astute People & Culture leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

You bring:

• Proven executive or senior leadership experience in People & Culture / HR
• Demonstrated success in leading transformation or evolving People & Culture functions
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to align people strategy with business outcomes
• Deep knowledge of employment legislation, workforce risk and ER/IR governance
• Experience in complex, multi-site or operational environments
• A collaborative and pragmatic leadership style, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels
• Experience using data and insights to inform workforce strategy and decisions

Experience within transport, logistics or mining environments is highly regarded.

This role is based in Bunbury, WA. Candidates will either be currently residing in the region or willing to relocate.
