Help us deliver a better tomorrow
Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.
About the opportunity
This is a career defining People and Culture partnering role at the forefront of transformation. You will step into a high impact environment supporting multiple fast paced business units, where no two days look the same and navigating ambiguity is part of the challenge and the opportunity.
You will play a critical role in bringing our Australia Post Transformation Strategy to life, shaping workforce strategy, influencing senior leaders and embedding change at scale. This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity, moves with pace and wants to make a visible, enterprise wide impact.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role.
What you’ll deliver with us
Reporting to a Head People & Culture, you will be a trusted advisor to multiple General Managers and senior leadership teams, driving strategic and commercial outcomes across diverse portfolios.
Success in this role means cutting through complexity to deliver clear, actionable People Plans that enable performance, transformation and growth. You will work in close partnership with leaders and People and Culture specialists to deliver connected, enterprise aligned outcomes.
You’ll also
- Partner across multiple portfolios to design and deliver impactful People Plans and transformation strategy.
- Lead and embed organisation design, workforce planning and talent strategies in a complex and fast moving environment
- Coach, challenge and influence senior leaders to navigate change, ambiguity and transformation with confidence
- Leverage data, insights and People and Culture technology to make sharp, commercially focused decisions.
About you
You’re a strategic and commercially astute People and Culture leader who knows how to operate at the highest levels of an organisation. Comfortable working alongside executive leaders, you bring credibility, influence and a strong point of view, balanced with a coaching mindset that lifts capability and performance.
You’ve led through complexity and growth, partnering across diverse, commercially driven portfolios, and know how to translate business strategy into tangible workforce, capability and culture outcomes. You’re equally at home shaping enterprise strategy as you are rolling up your sleeves to deliver transformation, organisation design and talent initiatives that make a real impact.
With a sharp focus on results, you use data and insight to guide decisions, manage risk and continuously improve performance. You build high performing teams, foster strong stakeholder relationships and thrive in environments where pace, ambiguity and change are constant.
You’ll also need
- Demonstrated experience influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders, including General Managers, in complex environments
- Proven track record leading large scale people and culture initiatives, including organisational transformation and operating model redesign
- Strong understanding of employment legislation, industrial relations and workforce governance, ideally within a highly unionised environment
- Exceptional communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline, with significant People and Culture experience in large, complex organisations
How we’ll deliver for you
- The opportunity to shape the people agenda for one of Australia’s most recognised brands.
- Genuine executive influence and exposure within a nationally significant organisation.
- Flexible working, career development and leadership growth at enterprise scale.
