Our client in the automotive manufacturing sector is seeking a Payroll Support Specialist, HR Systems to join their growing HRIS and Payroll Systems team.

This role will support Payroll and HR operations across Canadian and U.S. business units, with a primary focus on Dayforce Payroll and Time & Attendance modules.

Location: Hybrid Aurora

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced support and configuration for payroll and timekeeping systems
  • Maintain and enhance Dayforce Payroll and Time & Attendance configurations
  • Support payroll operations and employee data processes across multiple jurisdictions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll and HRIS-related issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams
  • Design and maintain payroll configuration rules, calculations, earnings, and deductions
  • Ensure payroll system compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Support payroll structure changes, implementations, and legislative updates
  • Configure and maintain payroll-to-general ledger mappings and financial integrations
  • Support payroll reconciliation, reporting, and audit requirements
  • Maintain system documentation, process guides, and configuration records
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll, HR systems, or HRIS support roles
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, employee lifecycle data, and timekeeping operations
  • Experience supporting or configuring HRIS/payroll systems; Dayforce experience preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance practices across Canadian and/or U.S. jurisdictions
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Dayforce Payroll and Time & Attendance modules
  • Exposure to payroll GL integrations and financial mapping
  • Experience supporting HRIS implementations or enhancements
  • Understanding of HR operations and employee data management best practices
