Vice President, Human Resources

A well-established, multi-site organization is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to provide strategic and operational HR leadership across the Western Region’s 40+ service centers. This executive will partner closely with Regional Vice Presidents, General Managers, and business leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, employee engagement, and workforce planning.

This role oversees HR Operations, Payroll, employee relations, compliance, organizational development, talent acquisition, succession planning, and change management in a fast-paced operational environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience supporting distributed, field-based or service center operations and thrives in highly collaborative, growth-oriented organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive and operational leadership to align HR strategy with business goals
  • Lead organizational development, workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning initiatives
  • Drive employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development programs
  • Oversee HR operations, payroll, compliance, and HR systems across multi-site operations
  • Support change management and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including California Wage & Hour regulations
  • Lead and develop an HR team while fostering a high-performing, employee-focused culture

Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Experience supporting multi-site operational or field-service environments
  • Strong background in HR Operations, organizational development, talent management, and employee relations
  • Experience partnering with senior business leaders in fast-paced environments
  • Knowledge of California labor laws and wage & hour regulations required
  • Bachelor’s degree required; SPHR or Master’s degree preferred

Preferred Background

Experience within industrial services, construction, manufacturing, facilities services, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevator, logistics, or other operationally intensive environments is highly valued.
