We are working with a high-growth, venture-backed HealthTech SaaS business transforming how healthcare is delivered through intelligent, data-driven software. Having recently secured Series A funding, they are entering a critical phase of scale—expanding product, customer base, and the team.

This is an opportunity to shape the foundations of a company designed for long-term impact in healthcare.

The Role

We are hiring a VP People to build and lead the people strategy from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role, partnering closely with the founders and executive team to scale the organisation thoughtfully and effectively.

You will be responsible for building the systems, culture, and leadership capability required to grow from early-stage to a high-performing, scalable business.

What You’ll Do

Talent & Hiring

  • Design and implement a scalable hiring strategy across technical, product, commercial, and clinical roles
  • Partner with leadership on key hires and talent mapping
  • Build a high-quality, consistent candidate experience

Organisation Design & Leadership

  • Support founders in structuring teams for scale and clarity
  • Coach and develop first-time and emerging leaders
  • Ensure alignment between company goals and team structures

Culture & Performance

  • Define and embed company values and behaviours
  • Introduce pragmatic performance management frameworks
  • Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and high performance

People Operations & Compliance

  • Establish strong operational foundations (contracts, policies, onboarding)
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and HealthTech-specific requirements
  • Partner with legal and external advisors where needed

Scaling the Function

  • Build and lead the People function over time (Talent, Ops, etc.)
  • Introduce systems and tooling that support growth without unnecessary complexity

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience scaling a company from 20 to 100+ employees
  • Background in high-growth startup or scale-up environments (ideally SaaS or HealthTech)
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance growth with efficiency
  • Hands-on operator—comfortable executing as well as setting strategy
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders and ability to influence at executive level
