Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Neurodiversity Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing tailored support to individuals on the autism spectrum, helping them navigate challenges, develop skills, and achieve their personal goals. This role involves offering virtual coaching sessions to individuals and families, focusing on areas such as communication, social skills, daily living skills, and emotional regulation. The Neurodiversity Support Specialist will play a critical role in empowering neurodiverse individuals to thrive in various aspects of their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized coaching and support to individuals on the autism spectrum, focusing on their unique strengths and challenges.
  • Assist clients in developing and enhancing social, communication, and daily living skills.
  • Support clients in managing sensory sensitivities, emotional regulation, and other related challenges.
  • Collaborate with families to create supportive environments that promote the client's growth and well-being.
  • Develop and implement personalized coaching plans that align with the client's goals and needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to facilitate meaningful progress.
  • Document client progress and session outcomes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, tools, and techniques in neurodiversity support to continually enhance service quality.
  • Work collaboratively with other OneVillage coaches and consultants to provide holistic support to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active license as one of the following:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Psychologist (Ph.D., Psy.D.)
  • Psychiatrist (MD, DO)
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Pediatrician (MD, DO)
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP)
  • Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or in neurodiversity support roles.
  • Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other relevant approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.
  • Experience with virtual/remote coaching or counseling is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle a diverse caseload.
  • Passion for empowering neurodiverse individuals to achieve their full potential.
