About the Role

We are seeking a Certified Financial Wellbeing Coach to join our team of licensed professionals and subject matter experts. In this role, you’ll support individuals and families facing life-altering health events by helping them navigate the financial complexities that often accompany medical care.

You’ll provide one-on-one coaching sessions focused on financial planning, medical expense management, end-of-life preparation, insurance understanding, and debt reduction—all with empathy, compassion, and precision. This is a part-time, remote, contract position with flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of people when they need it most.

What You’ll Do

• Personalized Financial Planning: Guide clients in creating tailored financial strategies that reflect their values, health circumstances, and goals.
• Estate & Legacy Planning Support: Offer insight into wills, trusts, and last testaments, and help clients navigate related financial and legal decisions.
• Medical Financial Management: Help clients understand and budget for out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, and insurance-related expenses during treatment.
• Debt Reduction Coaching: Assist clients in managing and reducing medical and personal debt while building long-term financial resilience.
• Financial Education: Deliver high-impact educational content through webinars, seminars, or 1:1 coaching, covering topics such as savings, budgeting, and retirement basics.
• Emotional Support & Empowerment: Provide empathetic, judgment-free financial guidance in emotionally charged health situations.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with OneVillage care navigators, medical schedulers, and coaches to deliver holistic care plans.
• Documentation & Ethics: Maintain clear records of client sessions in accordance with AFCPE and CFP Board ethical standards.

What We’re Looking For

Required Credentials:

• Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning, financial counseling, or financial coaching
• Experience working with clients facing major life or health transitions is strongly preferred

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, financial planning, accounting, or a related field

Skills & Traits:

• Deep understanding of budgeting, debt reduction, healthcare finance, and estate planning fundamentals
• Exceptional communication and emotional intelligence skills
• Proven ability to deliver empathetic guidance in high-stress situations
• Familiarity with health insurance structures and medical billing terms
• Tech-savvy, comfortable with virtual client interactions and digital tools
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ongoing professional development
