About OneVillage

When our founder was diagnosed with cancer in her 30s, she discovered a gap no one in healthcare talks about openly: the clinical care was excellent, but everything happening around it — the nutrition questions, the financial panic, the mental toll, the sleep falling apart, the aging parents suddenly in crisis — was where people quietly struggled alone. The support resources she found were ugly, depressing, and hard to use. So she built the opposite.

OneVillage is a coaching and navigation marketplace that pairs members with exceptional human coaches across 25+ specialties — maternal health, cancer care, financial wellness, sleep, nutrition, mental health, caregiving, career, mobility, and more. We make the whole experience $0 out-of-pocket for most members by working directly with major insurance carriers (Aetna, CareFirst BCBS, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Anthem) and employer benefit plans. We also partner with organizations whose employees carry heavy emotional labor — refugee-services organizations, national funeral homes, nonprofits, Fortune 500s — to bring whole-human care to their teams.

The result for our coaches: you get to spend your time actually coaching. We bring the clients, handle the insurance and employer-benefits side, schedule the sessions, pay you reliably, and surround you with 25+ other hand-selected coaches you can collaborate with and refer to. No cold outreach. No marketing grind. No credentialing nightmare. Just the work you trained to do.

Who we're looking for

A financial coach or counselor who can meet our members where they actually are — working professionals, parents, caregivers, people navigating big life transitions.

Philosophically comfortable with coaching (not just planning). Many sessions will be about behavior,

fears, and family dynamics as much as numbers.

Done with commissions and product sales. OneVillage does not pay kickbacks, referral fees, or product commissions. Your only job is the member's interest.

What you'll do

• Deliver 1:1 virtual financial coaching sessions (45 min) to OneVillage members
• Build personalized plans covering budget, debt, saving, investing fundamentals, and major milestones
• Coach members through real-life financial moments — buying a home, having a baby, caring for aging parents, divorce, layoff, medical bills, windfall
• Collaborate across specialties with our nutrition, mental health, career, and caregiving coaches for whole-person support
• Document session notes in our secure coach portal

What you bring

One of the following credentials in good standing:

• AFC® (Accredited Financial Counselor)
• FFC® (Financial Fitness Coach)
• CFP® (Certified Financial Planner)
• ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant)
• Or an equivalent certification in financial counseling or coaching

Plus:

• 2+ years of financial planning, counseling, or coaching experience
• Comfort operating as a fiduciary with no product-sales incentive
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts simply
• Reliable internet and a quiet, professional home-office setup

Nice to have

• Experience with values-based or behavioral financial coaching
• Experience working with clients facing major health or life transitions
• Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, or another second language
• Prior work inside an insurance-covered or employer-benefits wellness model
• Comfort with end-of-life / inheritance / estate adjacent conversations
