Our telehealth support solutions are thoughtfully designed to streamline and simplify go-to-market care delivery for companies offering meaningful virtual support to patients across an expansive array of specialties, in all 50 states.

About the Role

OpenLoop is looking for an Enterprise Applications Engineering Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership experience, and a passion for building high-quality software solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences to our customers and clients.

The Enterprise Applications Engineering Manager leads a team of solutions engineers responsible for designing, building, and delivering high-impact enterprise applications, software solutions and integrations. This role blends people management, technical leadership, and delivery execution.

You will oversee end-to-end solution delivery across customer-facing and internal initiatives while remaining hands-on in client communication, complex integrations, and critical problem-solving. In addition, you will own project planning, reporting, and operational processes to ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.

As a key cross-functional leader, you will serve as the bridge between Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and external partners where you will translate business needs into software solutions and integrations.

What You'll Do

  • Team Management

    • Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of solutions engineers

    • Conduct performance management, career development planning, and regular feedback cycles

    • Set team culture, operating cadence, and engineering standards from the ground up

    • Partner with leadership on hiring plans, team structure, and long-term growth

  • Project & Delivery Management

    • Work closely with product, engineering and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

    • Translate evolving requirements into clear technical solutions and execution plans

    • Drive rapid iteration cycles and enable teams to ship quickly while maintaining quality

    • Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and success metrics

    • Track progress and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and blockers

    • Identify and remove blockers to keep teams moving efficiently

  • Operational & Administrative Excellence

    • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to align on priorities and outcomes

    • Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

    • Own team-level reporting and operational metrics, including:

      • Delivery status and project health

      • Resource utilization and capacity planning

      • SLA adherence and incident trends

    • Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes

    • Establish and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms

    • Manage documentation standards across solutions, integrations, and processes

  • Technical Oversight

    • Provide hands-on technical leadership when needed, especially in early stages

    • Drive delivery of high-quality software across multiple initiatives in fast-moving environments

    • Perform hands-on technical work while also providing guidance and direction to team members on implementation, best practices, and problem-solving.

    • Act as a technical resource for complex issues, balancing individual contribution with mentorship and oversight.

  • AI usage proficiency

    • Leverage advanced AI tools (including Claude, Level 3 proficiency) to enhance productivity, automate workflows, and support decision-making.

    • Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted solutions into daily operations and project execution for themselves and the team

Who You Are

  • 8+ years in software engineering or released experience, including 4+ years managing engineers

  • Experience leading high-performing teams and delivering complex projects

  • Solid understanding of modern software architecture and system design

  • Experience working with cloud environments (AWS preferred)

  • Familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD, and agile practices

  • Proven ability to operate both as an individual contributor and a technical guide/mentor.

  • Advanced proficiency with AI tools, specifically Claude (Level 3 or equivalent), including prompt engineering, workflow integration, and practical application in a business or technical environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable guidance for others.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder and project management skills

  • Ability to translate business goals into technical execution

  • Experience with hiring, coaching, and performance management of engineers
