The ideal candidate is:

• Experienced and proficient at managing complex hardware development and/or manufacturing projects from initiation through implementation to closure
• Familiar with software development workflows and git version control
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
• Knowledgeable in basic concepts of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
• Great at keeping talented, motivated individual contributors on schedule and unblocked
• Excited to communicate and collaborate all day every day–clearly, concisely, and effectively across functions and teams including external stakeholders
• Proficient with project management frameworks, tools, risk assessments, and risk mitigation strategies
• Great at learning new software tools quickly
• A respectful, positive, and effective people manager

• Extensive experience managing both software and hardware projects, or projects with extensive hardware/software interplay
• Prior exposure to the world of tech startups

In your role, you will:

• Manage multiple projects, including both hardware and software, from initiation through implementation to closure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, define milestones and timelines, and track progress against established goals
• Use project management frameworks to manage schedules, budgets, and resources
• Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, to applicable quality standards, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders
• Ensure that project scopes are clearly defined and that any changes to scope are managed appropriately
• Manage team performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed to ensure a high level of performance and engagement
• Identify and mitigate project risks, and communicate status updates to key stakeholders
• Foster a positive team environment, promoting effective communication and collaboration across functions and teams
• Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring that costs are within approved budgets
• Provide regular status reports to stakeholders, including senior management,external partners, and project team members.
• Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies
• Implement and maintain effective tools for project and program management
• Identify potential risks to projects, assess their likelihood and impact, and develop risk mitigation strategies
• Assist the executive team in planning projects and milestones to achieve strategic objectives for the company
