The Role
The General Manager, EMEA is a key leadership position that requires a blend of strategic vision, operational prowess, and exceptional team management skills. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to drive regional growth, optimize operations, and build a cohesive and high-performing team across the diverse EMEA markets.
This role will work in partnership with our executive level team in the US to drive business growth and market leadership within the EMEA region. The role would encompass various responsibilities like strategic planning, team leadership, revenue generation and customer relationship management. This position demands a visionary leader with the ability to build an organization, scale the business, get deep in the details, drive performance, foster innovation, and navigate the complexities of varied regulatory environments and cultural nuances unique to the EMEA region.
Key duties would involve understanding the EMEA market, executing sales strategies, coaching and leading a team of GTM professionals, and ensuring profitable operations.
Location: We’re looking to hire this person in our London office (in Shoreditch).

Your Daily Adventures Will Include

  • Develop and Implement Regional Strategy: Craft a comprehensive regional go-to-market strategy that aligns with the global objectives of the company, ensuring sustainable growth and market penetration across the EMEA region. Ensure localized go-to-market strategies address the unique needs of different countries and verticals within the region.
  • Market Analysis and Forecasting: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks specific to EMEA. Utilize these insights to forecast market movements and inform strategic decisions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the EMEA region and US headquarters.
  • Be the financial steward for the EMEA region, driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the region's performance against these metrics. Drive continuous improvement and address any deviations from expected outcomes in the EMEA markets.
  • Cultivate relationships with strategic customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences throughout the EMEA region.
  • Support enterprise deal cycles, removing barriers and enabling customer success.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations within the EMEA region, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all business processes. Focus on optimizing operational workflows to enhance productivity.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources judiciously to maximize ROI within the EMEA region. This includes managing budgets, personnel, and other assets essential to achieving regional goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local laws and regulations pertinent to the EMEA countries. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Lead and Inspire: Directly manage a sales team of high performing professionals who drive customer values and meet sales objectives. Ensure operational rigor exists in daily sales hygiene.
  • Lead and Inspire: Provide strong cross-functional leadership to regional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Inspire and motivate employees to achieve their best within the EMEA region within a direct and hybrid working model.
  • Talent Development: Identify and nurture talent within the organization. Implement training and development programs to build a high-performing team equipped to meet the unique challenges of the EMEA markets.
  • Succession Planning: Develop a succession plan to ensure continuity in leadership and critical roles within the EMEA region.

Our Vision Of You

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise software or SaaS, including 5+ years in a senior regional leadership or GM role.
  • A deep hunger and commitment to meet and exceed goals.
  • Proven track record of scaling regional operations, aligning with overall Company strategy and delivering sustained revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of the EMEA business landscape, including market entry, compliance, and cultural nuances.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans tailored for the EMEA markets.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting specific to the EMEA markets.
  • Strong commercial mindset, with operational and financial discipline. Ability to work within defined budgetary parameters. Experience working closely with product, engineering, customer service, marketing, and global leadership teams
  • Ability to lead and inspire both direct and indirect reporting teams.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively within the EMEA context.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and regulatory environments within the EMEA region
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region and occasionally to the US.
