About the Role
You already teach Overture classes — you know what lands with a room of kids and what doesn't. As a Curriculum Fellow, you'll bring that classroom instinct into the design side: consulting 1–4 hours a week (flexible around your teaching schedule) on the curriculum our whole team teaches from.
Responsibilities
- Give feedback on curriculum drafts in development — review new classes mid-build and tell us what works, what's confusing, and what you'd change before you'd want to teach from it.
- Design curriculum outlines — break new AI enrichment class topics into a class-by-class journey.
- Write lesson plans in Overture's structure — build individual lessons in the Lesson Loop, the 60-minute container every Overture class follows, with refrains, "I can" statements, and floors and ceilings that hold up in a real classroom.
- Create teacher trainings — short videos + documents so any Overture teacher can pick up a class and run it with confidence.
Qualifications
- Current Overture Teacher
- Experience running AI classes with K–8 students — you know the classroom rhythms firsthand
- Can break a big topic into a clear week-by-week progression and a tight 60-minute lesson
- Clear, concise writer — your lesson plans should run without you in the room
- Comfortable recording short training videos for other teachers
- Reliably available 1–4 hours per week alongside your teaching schedule
Extra Credit
- Formal curriculum or instructional design experience (school, camp, tutoring, or published materials)
- Experience training or mentoring other teachers
