In just over two years, our growing team has introduced a steady cadence of innovation within the cross-border tuition, school fees, and migration-related payments landscape, such as same-day 24-hour cross-border payments, the ability for customers to pay directly foreign tuition and fees their local banks in local currencies, instant SEVIS, WES, and Application fee payments and much more. We are doubling down on our mission to help build out Africa’s educational and school fee payment infrastructure.

Role Overview We are looking to hire an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our operations as we rapidly scale. As COO, you will drive operational excellence, scale processes, improve profitability, oversee multiple departments, and expand Pay4Me into new markets. You will work closely with the CEO to optimize and transform our ambitious growth strategies into reality, helping us achieve 2-3X our GTV and ARR within the first year.

Key Responsibilities

• Scale Operations: Build and implement scalable systems and processes to support rapid growth.
• Streamline Processes: Optimize and automate workflows across departments to increase efficiency.
• Improve Profitability: Identify key areas to improve the bottom line and drive sustainable revenue growth.
• Oversee Departments: Manage and support cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, product, and finance.
• New Market Launch: Lead efforts to enter new geographic markets and expand Pay4Me’s global presence.
• Strategy Execution: Partner with the CEO and leadership team to execute strategic goals and ensure alignment across the organization.
• Manage Budgets and Finances: Oversee and optimize budgets to ensure efficient financial management, budgets, payroll, and cost-effective resource allocation

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a COO or senior operational leadership role within a high-growth startup or FinTech company.
• Strong background in scaling operations, process optimization, and managing cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in African/emerging markets, immigrant banking, or cross-border payments is a significant advantage.
• Experience driving revenue growth to meet or exceed $1M USD ARR targets.
• Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and expand operations into new markets.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a talent for inspiring and motivating teams.
