At PeakMetrics, we stand at the forefront of narrative intelligence, harnessing the power of advanced machine learning to safeguard enterprises and government agencies from social media manipulation and narrative attacks. Our platform rapidly sifts through millions of unstructured, cross-channel media datasets, transforming them into actionable insights. By identifying adversarial online messaging, understanding its audience, and providing crucial context such as source credibility, we empower our customers to effectively respond to digital threats.

Our team tackled some of today's most intricate media challenges, from crisis management to thwarting state-sponsored disinformation campaigns. Our goal is unwavering: to shield our clients from the risks of social media manipulation and emerging narrative threats by detecting and remediating from harmful online trends.

The Opportunity - We’re hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who wants more than a job - you want to build something that hasn’t been built before. Own the user experience end-to-end - from front-end architecture to the backend services, data models, and search layers that power it. You’ll have high growth potential, advocate for web application excellence across the company, and stay relentlessly resourceful - no technical problem should block your progress. You’ll ship fast, own outcomes, and help define standards for a small, highly engaged, talented team building an AI/ML product.

What you’ll do

  • Lead full-stack features from idea → design → production across ingestion, search, APIs, and UI.

  • Front end (React expert): Next.js (or similar) with SSR/ISR, routing, performance budgets; Tailwind CSS for rapid, consistent UI.

  • APIs: Design and operate GraphQL schemas/resolvers (Apollo or similar); use REST where appropriate.
Services: Build robust Node.js/Typescript services with strong contracts, tests, and observability.
Data: Model domains and write performant SQL in PostgreSQL; migrations, indexing, query tuning.

  • Search: Craft advanced Elasticsearch queries (filters, full-text, aggregations), mappings, analyzers, relevance.

  • ML/AI integration: Productionize LLM/RAG flows, embeddings, and ranking; evaluate quality/safety; iterate with offline/online metrics.

  • Cloud & DevEx: Ship on AWS with IaC and CI/CD (GitHub Actions); instrument with tracing/metrics/alerts with NewRelic

  • Quality & leadership: Drive reviews, mentor teammates, steward architecture decisions, lead incident/post-mortem practices.

What success looks like

  • Ship improvements to an existing surface (perf/UX or reliability); add dashboards/alerts for your area.

  • Lead an end-to-end feature spanning UI, API, and search; measurably improve a KPI (latency, accuracy, activation).

  • Co-own a domain (e.g., front-end platform, search relevance, or RAG quality); uplift team standards.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years shipping production systems with clear impact in startup or high-growth environments.

  • React/Typescript expert with multiple web apps built from the ground up; Next.js (or similar) in production (SSR/ISR, perf).

  • GraphQL (Apollo or similar) in production.

  • Node.js for services in production.

  • PostgreSQL (or other RDBMS): schema design, indexing, query tuning.

  • Tailwind CSS (or similar) for consistent, accessible UI.

  • Elasticsearch: advanced queries incl. aggregations and relevance tuning.

  • GitHub (or similar VCS) + modern CI/CD.

  • AWS (or other cloud) operating production systems.

  • Track record integrating or working alongside ML/AI systems.

Benefits

  • Remote-first culture

  • Health insurance, 401(k), and other benefits

  • Flexible work schedule and unlimited time off

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development

  • A vibrant and inclusive company culture
