PeakMetrics is a narrative intelligence platform that protects enterprises and government agencies from social media manipulation, influence campaigns, and emerging narrative threats. Using advanced machine learning, our platform transforms millions of cross-channel media signals into actionable intelligence — giving customers the context and clarity they need to detect threats early and respond effectively.
About the Role
PeakMetrics is hiring a Brand Intelligence Analyst to help translate high-volume online data into clear, compelling brand stories that drive awareness and demand. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, storytelling, and strategic communications.
We're looking for someone with a news-driven, journalism-style background — a natural storyteller who knows how to spot what matters in a fast-moving information environment, distill complex data into sharp narratives, and write with clarity, urgency, and authority. If you think in headlines, instinctively ask "what's the story here?", and thrive under deadline pressure, this role is for you.
You'll work hands-on with the PeakMetrics platform to identify emerging brand narratives, uncover risks and opportunities, and turn those insights into marketing and press-ready content — including blogs, newsletters, reports, and rapid response analysis during key brand moments.
This role reports into the Head of Insights and works closely day-to-day with the marketing and sales teams. There is real room to grow in this role as the company scales and the intelligence function matures.
What You'll Do
Turn complex data into stories that matter
Analyze large volumes of online conversation to identify brand narratives, trends, risks, and inflection points
Translate platform outputs into clear, prioritized insights for non-technical audiences, including journalists and communications leaders
Add real-world and data-driven context to drive additional value
Create marketing and press-ready content
Produce weekly brand-forward intelligence that can be turned into blog posts, newsletter content, or press pitches
Contribute to ongoing newsletter and blog content grounded in PeakMetrics data
Own one in-depth, data-driven report per month designed to support lead generation
Support press efforts with data pulls, insight framing, and background context
Work directly with data
Build, iterate, and refine queries and prompts to surface relevant conversations
Analyze patterns, narrative evolution, amplification dynamics, and audience behavior
Work confidently with the platform as well as hands-on data manipulation and prompt engineering for AI workflows
Support fast-moving brand moments
Assist with rapid-response analysis during brand moments, spikes in attention, or potential crises
Help surface early warning signals and narrative risks
Deliver timely, actionable insights under tight deadlines
What Success Looks Like
You consistently surface lead-driving insights that marketing can turn into compelling content
You highlight the most important narrative risks and opportunities, not just the loudest conversations
Your work helps PeakMetrics show up in relevant press coverage and thought leadership
You adapt quickly in a fast-moving startup environment and take initiative without heavy direction
You proactively improve how intelligence is produced, communicated, and applied as the company scales
What We're Looking For
2–5 years of relevant professional experience
Strong comfort working with quantitative metrics to identify patterns and trends
Ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights
Excellent written communication skills for marketing, press, or executive audiences
Familiarity with social media platforms and online discourse dynamics
Ability to communicate insights verbally, visually, and in writing
Comfort collaborating cross-functionally and interacting with customers when needed
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
Experience with social listening, media monitoring, or intelligence platforms
Familiarity with Boolean query construction or search logic
Experience producing structured reports or briefs for external audiences
We know not every strong candidate will check every box. If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply.
Even Better If You Have
News or journalism background
Exposure to intelligence, research, or insights-driven workflows
Interest in or exposure to LLMs and AI-assisted analysis
Experience working in agency, consulting, or client-service environments
Comfort experimenting with new analytical approaches or workflows
Familiarity with common analytics or visualization tools such as spreadsheets, dashboards, or presentation tools
We'd Love to Hear From You If You've Worked In...
Social media intelligence, media monitoring, or narrative analysis roles
Strategic communications, public affairs, corporate affairs, or brand intelligence
Journalism or data journalism roles transitioning into insights or intelligence work
Political, policy, or issue analysis roles moving into commercial intelligence
Research, analytics, or insights roles where synthesis and judgment were core responsibilities
Experience working with brand stories and understanding how narratives shape perception
