Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kochi for an Electronics Production Manager. The Electronics Production Manager will oversee production processes, ensure quality control, and maintain productivity standards in electronics manufacturing. Day-to-day tasks include managing production schedules, coordinating with supply chain teams, optimizing workflows, supervising production staff, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Oversee electronics hardware production, PCB assembly, and testing processes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of components and materials.
- Collaborate with QA to resolve electronics product quality issues.
- Optimize electronics manufacturing processes for improved quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
- Drive automation/technology adoption for streamlined workflows in hardware production.
- Lead and motivate the production team to achieve output and quality targets.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to enhance team skills and technical expertise.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of electronic components.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry-specific regulations.
- Regularly report production performance, challenges, and insights to senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (B.Tech).
- 2–3 years of experience in electronics/electrical manufacturing, PCB assembly, or IoT hardware production (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of electronics production processes, testing, and quality control standards.
- Familiarity with SMT (Surface Mount Technology), PCB assembly lines, and BOM management.
- Experience in lean manufacturing, process optimization, or Six Sigma/Kaizen will be an added advantage.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in industry-relevant software/tools for production management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in electronics manufacturing.
