Position Summary:
The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and restoring returned IoT hardware units. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, component-level repair expertise, firmware flashing knowledge, and adherence to quality and documentation standards. This is an in-house technical role with no field service responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in returned IoT hardware devices.
Perform component-level PCB repair, including replacement of ICs, connectors, and modules.
Flash firmware and verify correct system configuration.
Conduct functional and burn-in testing after repair.
Maintain accurate documentation of root cause, repair actions, and test results.
Inspect and validate demo and spare devices before redeployment.
Follow service SOPs, ESD safety standards, and maintain an organized workspace.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in electronics repair or embedded hardware servicing.
Strong hands-on experience in PCB troubleshooting and component-level repair.
Proficiency in soldering and use of diagnostic tools such as multimeters.
