Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain analytical standards and protocols using advanced instrumentation, including ICP, XRF, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to provide analytical expertise in the development of innovative extraction, separation, and metallization techniques.
- Conduct detailed analyses of raw materials, intermediate products, and final metals to ensure process efficiency and quality.
- Ensure the highest standards of data accuracy, precision, and reliability in all analytical tests and methods.
- Develop and implement quality control protocols to validate analytical results and support process optimization.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and methodologies in analytical chemistry and rare earth metal research.
- Identify opportunities to integrate new techniques or instruments to enhance the company’s analytical capabilities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including R&D, product development, and quality control, to drive innovation and improve processes.
- Mentor and train junior scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize analytical workflows and increase efficiency.
- Analyze trends and provide insights to support strategic decision-making for the development of rare earth refining technologies.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in analytical research, preferably within rare earth metals, mining, or advanced materials industries.
- Extensive hands-on experience with advanced analytical equipment, including ICP, XRF, and other relevant tools.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing analytical methods, particularly for metal extraction and separation processes.
- Strong knowledge of rare earth metals and their chemical properties is highly desirable.
- Experience in high-temperature chemical processes, solvent extraction, or molten salt electrolysis is ideal.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in metallurgy and material sciences
