Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute a strategic sales roadmap targeting Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs in defense
- Establish and grow long-term partnerships with strategic customers aligned with national and commercial supply chain priorities
- Lead negotiations for supply agreements and strategic partnerships with customers requiring critical and rare earth metals
- Position Phoenix Tailings’ clean technology as a differentiated solution for domestic sourcing and ESG-aligned procurement
- Identify and pursue emerging opportunities across defense programs, clean tech, and industrial applications
- Represent Phoenix Tailings in high-level industry meetings, trade forums, and government-aligned initiatives
- Translate customer needs and market feedback into actionable insights for internal teams
- Build and lead a high-performing commercial team focused on high-value, strategic sales initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or strategic partnerships within the defense industry
- Proven track record selling into Tier 1 defense suppliers, DoD contractors, or major primes
- Strong understanding of federal procurement, defense acquisition, and government contracting
- Track record of closing complex deals with long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
- Ability to translate technical offerings into strategic value propositions tailored to mission-critical customer needs
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across technical and executive audiences
- Deep interest in driving innovation, sustainability, and national resilience through materials technology
