7.2. Electrical Engineer - Leadership Development Program

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and commission electrical systems for high-temperature, high-current metallization equipment and separation process equipment at commercial scale.
- Lead electrical design projects including power distribution, wiring harnesses, control panel design, grounding, and protection
- Select and integrate components such as PLC’s, sensors, power electronics, and automation hardware.
- Write and debug PLC code, support HMI development, and assist with sensor calibration and system-level automation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with chemical, mechanical, controls, sourcing, production, and commercial teams to drive projects forward and deliver results under tight timelines.
- Support scaling from lab-scale and pilot production setting to a fully commercial system, ensuring compliance with industrial safety and performance standards
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, layout drawings, and cable schedules
- Provide hands-on support in panel wiring, system installation, and field testing
- Develop toward leadership by owning your systems, solving difficult problems, and learning across the company
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong foundation in electrical circuit design, power systems, control theory, and industrial hardware
- Demonstrated success in hands-on, cross-functional engineering environments (startups, labs, competitions, etc.)
- Proficiency with electrical CAD and schematic tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical)
- Familiarity with PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, CODESYS), HMI’s, and industrial automation protocols (Studio 5000, Ignition, etc.)
- Hands-on experience building and troubleshooting panels and industrial electrical systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently in fast-paced settings
- Proven ability to take initiative, overcome ambiguity, and deliver results on mission-critical systems
