Who We Are Looking For:
Phoenix Tailings is looking for a hands-on, driven Production Engineer early in their career to join our production team. This role is ideal for recent graduates passionate about manufacturing, eager to work directly on the production floor, and excited to help scale clean critical metal production. This engineer will be embedded in the daily operations of our 24/7 facility, working to optimize processes, solve real-world problems, and help shape the future of sustainable manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor advanced production equipment used in clean metals processing
  • Perform in-process checks and adjustments to ensure consistent product quality
  • Collect, analyze, and report production data to support process improvements
  • Perform basic mechanical and operational troubleshooting on production systems
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and uptime
  • Conduct equipment startups, shutdowns, and transitions between production runs
  • Work closely with shift leads and operators to ensure operational excellence
  • Support new process development and implementation on the floor
  • Uphold and enforce safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safe operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in operating and understanding industrial equipment
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and quickly adapt to new systems and processes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic production setting
  • Must be able to work in a 24/7 facility (rotating shifts); initial training will be conducted in Burlington, MA
