Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to run the monthly close and the day-to-day accounting
operations of a fast-growing manufacturing company. You will own the close calendar, the
reconciliation process, and the accounting procedures the rest of the team executes against —and manage the staff who perform that work.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical accountant who also enjoys managing people and
process, and who wants to tighten and document a close that is still being built.

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close — set the calendar, assign ownership, and
    deliver on schedule.
  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable,
    payroll accounting, and expense processing.
  • Own the balance sheet reconciliation process; review reconciliations prepared by staff and
    resolve exceptions.
  • Review journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
  • Document and continuously improve accounting procedures, checklists, and controls.
  • Manage, coach, and develop staff and senior accountants; set priorities and balance
    workload across the close cycle.
  • Prepare audit schedules and support the annual audit and tax filings.
  • Partner with operations and procurement to ensure transactions are recorded accurately
    and on time.
  • Support ERP and accounting systems improvements, including automation of manual
    processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of a monthly close.
  • 2+ years of experience managing or supervising accounting staff.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and month-end close best practices.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP or a comparable system.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to document and improve accounting processes, not just execute
    them.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
