Role Mission

As the Head of Sales, you will lead Photocert’s efforts in converting a strong pipeline of opportunities, primarily focusing on the UK market with the potential to expand into the EMEA region. Working closely with two junior team members (one in sales and one in business operations), you will develop and execute sales strategies aimed at acquiring new clients and expanding existing ones, particularly in the insurance/Insurtech sector.

You will bring an entrepreneurial mindset, a deep understanding of Insurtech, and a proven track record in selling software solutions to financial institutions. You’ll also be responsible for building relationships, closing major deals, and structuring long-term contracts that align with Photocert’s growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Lead the sales team, optimizing processes and driving performance independently.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong relationships within the insurance industry, particularly with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
  • Deal Closing & Negotiation: Take ownership of closing major deals, managing complex negotiations, and ensuring contracts support long-term growth.
  • Team Management: Oversee and mentor two team members, aligning their roles with the company’s objectives.
  • Strategic Growth: Identify new business opportunities and expand into new markets, focusing initially on the UK while keeping an open eye on EMEA.
  • Pipeline Management: Ensure a smooth and precise progression of deals through the sales cycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product and technical teams to align sales strategies with Photocert’s offerings, providing insights to help refine products and marketing strategies.

  • Industry Experience: Strong connections within the insurance/Insurtech ecosystem with a proven track record of success in sales leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive, results-driven approach to building and executing sales strategies independently.
  • Technical Acumen: A solid understanding of technology solutions in the insurance industry with the ability to communicate complex offerings to potential clients.
  • Negotiation Skills: Expertise in structuring sustainable long-term contracts.
  • London Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the London insurance market is a significant advantage.
