As the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting daily manufacturing operations and long-term facility performance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough baseline assessments of existing equipment, identify operational gaps, and develop prioritized improvement plans
- Create, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance programs, including PM schedules and reporting systems
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with production schedules to minimize downtime and operational disruptions
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair of production machinery and facility systems
- Manage spare parts inventory and equipment lifecycle records
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve reliability and efficiency
- Support infrastructure upgrades, capital improvement projects, and cross-functional operational initiatives
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with company policies and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
- Promote and maintain a strong culture of workplace safety and continuous improvement
Required
- High School Diploma, Technical School certification, or Associate’s Degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience working with heavy industrial or mechanical operations
- Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry standards and manufacturing safety practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience maintaining digital PM systems, parts inventories, and equipment records
- Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, OSHA regulations, industrial hygiene, and testing procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- 2+ years of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
- OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification
- Experience in elevator manufacturing, vertical transportation, or specialized electromechanical industries
- Background in environmental compliance, including hazardous waste management, Tier II reporting, and air permitting
- Strong knowledge of environmental, hazardous material, and workplace safety practices
- Expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced troubleshooting and technical problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to reduce downtime while maintaining operational compliance
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Initiative, accountability, and a hands-on leadership style
- Ability to lead change, influence teams, and drive continuous improvement efforts
